Master Kuramoto Sensei - Shorinji Kempo

Today marks the third memorial anniversary for the late Master Toshio Kuramoto sensei. The annual service was held yesterday morning at sensei's grave site (Forest Lawn Cemetery in Covina Hills, CA.) Industry Sheriffs' dojo members and friends attended the service to offer prayers and pay their respects to their late teacher & friend. After the service, everyone celebrated his memory during a buffet luncheon held at the Kuramoto residence. Kuramoto sensei was a 7th dan black belt Shorinji Kempo branch master, a ZEN Buddhist priest, the Los Angeles Police Dept's Defensive Tactics and Arrest and Control instructor, a well-known ZEN Acupressurist and a member of the Martial Arts Hall of Fame.
