Concert History Tour - Part 22

The Seawind Japan "Reunion Concert Tour" was amazing! The 4 shows in Osaka were classic Seawind and many fans traveled far and wide to attend these historic shows. One woman flew for an hour and a half from a southern Japan province, just to see Seawind once again! The band signed autographs on many CD covers, Vinyl album jackets, t-shirts & photos and the tour was truly a Japan reunion! For those of you who may not know, Tower Records is still going strong in Japan (even though they have gone out of business in America). The Tower store in Osaka had a nice Seawind end-cap display and listening post (see photo). The Billboard Live Clubs in both Tokyo and Osaka did an excellent job of promoting all of the Seawind "Reunion" concerts and these two clubs are among Japan's finest and classiest!

While waiting for 2 hours in the Narita Airport's JAL Sakura Lounge for Seawind's flight to San Francisco and on to LAX, we happened to see our friend and popular recording star, Ben Harper (and his band "Relentless 7"). They were all on their way to Vancouver to do a concert there. Ben was also traveling with his 12-year-old son who was helping out on the tour, with the crew duties. It's always nice to unexpectedly cross paths with friends while traveling internationally. It was great to see Ben again and hang out for a brief moment in Tokyo!
